The Hadley Caring Neighbors (HCN) is a network of neighbors in the Village of Hadley who proactively respond to the needs of neighbors who are facing life challenges or family crisis.

Hadley Caring Neighbors provides practical, common sense, non-medical assistance.  Referrals for other services are provided whenever a need cannot be fulfilled by an HCN volunteer.

Ambassadors "adopt" approximately 20 homes and contact them once a month to give updates on what is happening in our Village and to let neighbors know that help is available when needed.  A phone number is provided for needs arsing between visits.  The initial process to receive Hadley Caring Neighbors assistance take approximately one week.

Volunteer Opportunities

There are minimal requirements to become a volunteer which include an application form and a background check.  We invite you to join us in helping those in need in our community.  Your generosity may impact the life of another in a positive and powerful way.  And each of us may one day need help ourselves.

Resident Volunteers provide requested services whenever possible.  It is your decision as to what you volunteer to do, when you can do it and how often you can help.

Ambassadors "adopt" and contact approximately 20 homes once a month.

Assessors interview neighbors to determine eligibility prior to local services being provided.

Service Coordinator receives all requests for service and sends emails to volunteers in an attempt to fulfill requests.
